The Witcher 3 next-gen update
The next-gen update introduced a variety of features to the game. Technical improvements like higher frame rates, environmental improvements like updated sky textures, updated global environmental lighting, and more were added. The texture of various characters like Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer has been upscaled to 4K.
On the PC version, CDPR has brought Ultra+ graphical settings which significantly increase the visual fidelity of the game. These settings affect background characters, shadow quality, grass density, and more. DLSS 3 support has been included for compatible hardware. CD Projekt Red has also added community-made mods to The Witcher 3 like The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project by HalkHogan, HD Monsters Reworked by Denroth, Immersive Real-time Cutscenes by teiji25, Nitpicker’s Patch by chuckcash, and World Map Fixes by Terg500. This update is free for all The Witcher 3 owners.
