Major League Soccer revealed its full 2023 regular-season schedule on Tuesday afternoon with expansion side St Louis CITY SC included for its debut campaign.
The party starts on February 25 with a pair of intriguing matches headlining the opening day of the season. Defending champions Los Angeles FC will make the short trip to the Rose Bowl to face in-state rivals, L.A. Galaxy while Nashville SC hosts New York City FC in its return to the Eastern Conference.
St Louis CITY SC kicks off its MLS schedule away from home against defending Western Conference finalists, Austin FC. Bradley Carnell’s squad will open Centene Stadium the following week against Charlotte FC.
Defending MLS Cup Finalists Philadelphia Union will host the Columbus Crew at Subaru Park also on Saturday.
Rivalry Week will take place from May 13-20, with several of the league’s top derbies on display. The Hudson River Derby between NYCFC and the New York Red Bulls is slated for May 13 at Red Bull Arena, while a Cali Clasico between the Galaxy and San Jose Earthquakes will take place on May 14.
CF Montreal-Toronto FC, FC Cincinnati-Columbus Crew, and FC Dallas-Houston Dynamo are among the Rivalry Week showdowns.
The MLS regular schedule will be paused from July 15-Aug. 20 with all 43 MLS and Liga MX clubs taking part in the annual Leagues Cup.
The Union will host LAFC in a 2022 MLS Cup rematch on Sept. 23 at Subaru Park. LAFC defeated the Union in penalties to lift a first-ever MLS Cup last November.
The season comes to an end on October 21, with 14 matches taking place at separate time slots. Each club will play 34 games, with 17 being at home and 17 being on the road. A full breakdown of the schedules for every MLS club can be found here.
